Big Funhouse is our 2.5 to 6 year old space, with a roll of up to 30 children each day at a ratio of 1:8. It is a natural next step from Little Funhouse, where children are supported to grow in confidence, independence and have positive social connection. Our environment is thoughtfully set up to offer choice, encourage exploration and support children to lead their own learning.

Our large inside space allows for multiple areas of learning and space to move freely, it flows onto a large, covered deck that leads to our well-equipped outdoor environment.

We focus on supporting your children to develop the skills and confidence they need for a positive transition to school. Through play, meaningful relationships and everyday learning experiences, children build early literacy and numeracy skills, alongside growing independence and social competence, helping them to become confident and capable lifelong learners.

We value a strong connection to the natural world and are proud to be an Enviroschool. The children are encouraged to care for their environment, take part in sustainable practices and develop a sense of kaitiakitanga through hands-on experiences.

We understand that some of our 2- and 3-year-olds are still wearing nappies and we support toilet training when your child is ready in our easily accessible toileting facilities that encourage independence and self help skills. We also recognize that some children still require a daytime sleep, and we have a dedicated sleep room to support this. Each child has their own cubby locker where their bag and belongings are kept together yet accessible for our growing independent children.
