What makes us special?
Funhouse is a small family- owned centre in the heart of Whanganui. At Funhouse,
we believe childhood should be filled with wonder, connection, and a strong sense of
belonging. Our curriculum is grounded in Te Whāriki. We understand that children
learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences, where curiosity is
encouraged, relationships are nurtured, and learning unfolds naturally.
We are passionate about providing a rich, engaging environments that reflect the
interests of our tamariki, our local community, and the natural world. We are proud to
be an Enviroschool and our commitment to sustainability is embedded throughout
our curriculum, where children are supported to care for the environment and
develop a strong sense of kaitiakitanga.
Our kaiako are a highly dedicated, passionate and responsive teaching team who
strive daily to ensure a fun and engaging learning environment. Through intentional
teaching and individual planning and assessment we are able to continuously
strengthen our practice to ensure high-quality outcomes for all learners.
We value strong, authentic partnerships with whānau, recognising that learning is
most powerful when we work together. We warmly invite you to visit Funhouse, meet
our team, and experience the sense of community that makes our centre a special
place to learn and grow.
